The Three R’s

If things aren’t changing fast enough for you, how about pilot school for children? Yes, if you are a parent, your child might ask that you send them to pilot school…but hold on. Pilot school – not for airplanes or helicopters – but for drones! In the ever advancing technology wave, what was once novel and avant-garde is being embraced as the norm. The three R’s, reading, writing and arithmetic, were once the foundation of many countries’ educational systems. Today, children have iPads or laptops at the pre-school level and can navigate most common applications. Think about it: a 48 year drone old pilot can be matched by an 8 year old drone pilot.

Boeing recently announced that they invested in a startup company that has an autonomous drone delivery system for urban areas. Although the Amazon Prime Air initiative has yet to reach service to the public, one day you can expect most package deliveries to be dropped at your door by a drone. In addition to bringing you lunch and dinner, drones will one day deliver prescriptions and act as first responders for emergency calls. As demand for drone pilots increases, demand for pilot training is gaining momentum. This in turn necessitates training for people to monitor and regulate all of these pilots, all of which is creating a massive new infrastructure and industry. Schools for police drones are popping up in large and small communities, along with online academies and drone simulators. Do YOU have the right stuff to become a drone pilot?
